LITIGATION ASSOCIATE

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Litigation Associate to join a reputable law firm. The ideal candidate must have solid courtroom experience, strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law, and the ability to provide sound legal advisory services to clients.

Represent individuals and corporate clients in court proceedings.
Provide legal advisory services on corporate, commercial, and transactional matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare legal opinions.
Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Analyse complex legal issues and develop practical solutions for clients.
Communicate legal matters effectively to clients and colleagues.
Manage multiple cases and assignments while meeting deadlines.
Identify gaps and ambiguities in client information and follow up appropriately.
Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail in all legal documentation.

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and qualification to practise as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (B.L).
Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in litigation and legal advisory services.
Previous experience working in a commercial law firm is essential.
Demonstrable knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
Strong courtroom advocacy, legal drafting, and research skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage client relationships and deliver results under pressure.
An LL.M is an added advantage.
